Tokyo Marui MTR-16 GBBR is a gas-powered airsoft replica (GBB) of the AR-15/M4 platform, designed for players looking for high tactical realism, authentic mechanical recoil and stable and efficient performance on the airsoft field. This replica combines the ergonomics and modularity typical of AR-15 systems with the true tactical feedback offered by a gas-powered system.
Gas Blowback (GBB) Mechanism – Operation and Realism
The replica uses an internal gas-powered system in which compressed gas from the magazine is released into the internal chamber with each shot, setting in motion the piston and the bolt mechanism. This movement generates a real mechanical recoil, simulated by the movement of the bolt and the cocking lever, providing authentic tactical feedback, much more natural than in electric replicas.
The internal system is designed for smooth operation and consistency with every shot, and the adjustable hop-up imparts a controlled spin to the bullet, stabilizing the trajectory and improving accuracy.
