Associated hazards and risks

Deep discharge (< ~3.0 V/cell): permanently affects capacity and can make the battery unusable.

Overcharge (> ~4.2 V/cell): risk of swelling, gas generation, fire or explosion.

Current above the 40 C peak limit or using too high currents: risk of overheating and internal damage.

Mechanical shocks, punctures, impacts: physical damage can compromise the casing or internal insulation and cause internal short circuits.

Extreme temperatures:

above ~60 °C: high risk of fire or explosion;

below 0 °C: reduced performance and risk of charging.

Unattended charging: fire hazard; recommended to use a fireproof bag and not leave the battery unattended.

Improper storage: connected to the replica when not in use or completely discharged → damage; storage at ~3.8 V/cell is ideal.

Safety recommendations

Disconnect the battery from the replica immediately after use to avoid parasitic consumption.

Charge the battery under supervision, ideally in a fireproof bag (Li-Po bag), in a safe place.

Store it at the optimal storage level (~3.8 V/cell) if you are not using it for a long time, in a cool place and away from heat sources.

Do not use batteries that show signs of damage: swelling, deformation, any kind of visible defect or strange smell.
