The ER40-L (Level 4) sheath, the Makarov-adapted version, is a tactical-professional holster from the Evolution 5 2.0 line, designed for high weapon protection and quick extraction in real-world situations. This version is made of thermoformed Kydex (custom profile for Makarov) and is equipped with the RRD (Removable Rotating Device) system for modular positioning and quick rotation of the holster on the belt/plate.

Security level

Classification: Level 4 — multiple retention system designed to prevent unauthorized removal of the weapon, suitable for security, police and professional protection applications.

Material and construction

Material: Thermoformed Kydex (typical thicknesses 2.0–2.8 mm) — provides precise shape, dimensional stability, resistance to temperature and wear, and constant return when reholstering.

Finish: polished edges, low-bulk profile, matte / anti-reflective surface; does not require internal lining.

Modular mounting system: RRD (Removable Rotating Device)

RRD is a removable and rotating interface that allows the holster to rotate 360° and quickly position (changes in angle / ride-height) without tools, through a secure, quick-detach mechanism. Ideal for adapting the holster position on the belt, MOLLE platform or rigid plate.

Retention and operation systems (level 4)

Multi-point (mechanical) retention for secure locking of the weapon in the holster; integrated systems allow both automatic locking when holstering and controlled release when pressing/rotating (managed by the specific King Cobra mechanisms for level 4). These systems provide protection against unauthorized extractions and at the same time maintain the possibility of quick extraction for the trained user.
