The FN HERSTAL M249 MK1 CORE™ AEG is a lightweight support weapon officially licensed by FN Herstal through Cybergun, combining the iconic appearance of the legendary M249 with the practicality and reliability of the Specna Arms CORE™ series.

Designed for players who want sustained suppressive fire without the weight of traditional support guns, it delivers excellent handling while preserving the realistic look and feel of the original platform.

To reduce overall weight, the receiver and selected external components are manufactured from high-strength polymer, while key structural parts such as the outer barrel, stock, flash hider, and magazine well are made from metal.

Steel components, including the folding bipod, carry handle, trigger guard, and mounting hardware, provide additional strength where it matters most.

The replica also features a quick-change barrel system and can be fed using either the supplied 2,500-round BOX magazine or standard AR15 (STANAG) AEG magazines, offering exceptional versatility on the field.

Internally, the M249 MK1 CORE™ is equipped with a reinforced full-size M249 gearbox featuring steel gears, 8 mm ball bearings, a bearing spring guide, a rotary metal Hop-Up chamber, and the ESA™ Quick Spring Change System, allowing rapid spring replacement without specialized tools.

The electric BOX magazine automatically feeds BBs to ensure uninterrupted suppressive fire during extended engagements.
